Barbara Lima is a Brazilian-born performer, choreographer, and film artist based in Oregon. She won Best Actress at the Direct Monthly Online Film Festival for Mother/Other (2024), performed at the Rio 2016 Olympic Opening Ceremony, and has danced at venues including Théâtre de la Ville in Paris and Kunsten Festival des Arts in Belgium. A University of Oregon faculty member and founding director of ELa FaLa Collective, she has taught and performed in over 10 countries. Her work lives at the intersection of movement, identity, and the immigrant experience — on stage, on screen, and in the room.
